Student Expectations

Completion within the Time Limit:

Successfully complete the course within the designated 30-day time frame.

Passing Grade:

Attain a minimum score of 100% or higher in the online course. This achievement is mandatory for eligibility to take the MOCK COLLECTIONS EXAM.

Mock Collections Exam:

The MOCK COLLECTIONS EXAM serves as a crucial assessment. Only those who meet the passing grade requirement in the online course can proceed to take this exam.

Consequences for Non-Compliance: Students failing to complete the course or adhere to the outlined expectations will face removal, and refund requests will be denied.

Optional Trainings:

Game Night/ Role Play: While not mandatory, students are encouraged to attend at least one of these optional training sessions. It provides an opportunity for additional learning and practical application of the course material.

Prepare the Collection Area:

Set up the collection area according to the DOT guidelines. Ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available and properly organized.

Follow the Collection Protocol:

Begin the mock collection process by following the prescribed protocol step by step. This includes verifying the donor's identification, explaining the collection procedure, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Perform the Collection:

Conduct the specimen collection as instructed, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to established protocols at all times. Properly label and document all specimens collected.

Complete Documentation:

Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly. Double-check for any errors or omissions before submitting the paperwork for review.

Review and Feedback:

After completing the mock collection, review your performance and seek feedback from your instructor or supervisor. Use this feedback to identify areas for improvement and further enhance your skills as a specimen collector.
